The Prism of the Guiding Winds

The Prism of the Guiding Winds is a legendary relic said to be as old as the Great Sundering itself. It is a crystalline artifact, multifaceted and eternally glowing with a soft light that mimics The Iridescence. The Prism is believed to be the first tool used by the earliest Lightweavers to navigate the chaotic skies after the Sundering.
The Prism is not only a symbol of the Lightweavers' ability to interpret The Iridescence but is also said to enhance their abilities. When gazed through, the patterns of The Iridescence become clearer, and the paths through the skies reveal themselves to the Lightweaver. It is also rumored to have the power to calm the winds and ensure safe passage for the airships it guides.
It is a fragment of the living soul which comprises The Iridescence, and so shimmers in the presence of the Master Lightweaver. When the Master Lightweaver perishes, the successor is chosen by The Iridescence itself, and the authenticity of their claim is verified with The Prism.
The Prism was originally discovered by the founder of the Lightweavers, who was guided to it by a vision. Since then, the Prism is kept in a place of honor within the Lightweaver's Guildhall in Celestia's Anchorage, heavily guarded and shrouded in protective enchantments. It is only brought out for significant occasions, such as the Festival of Winds or when a new master Lightweaver is named.
The Prism of the Guiding Winds is not just an artifact; it is a piece of Celestia's Anchorage's identity and a beacon of hope for all who look upon the skies and dream of navigating the Shattered Realms.
