The Shattered Realms

Farneco, a wildly diverse and magically verdant world, rich with a great tapestry of different terrains, climates, races, and covered in hundreds of kingdoms, ranging from tiny island kingdoms, all the way to great sprawling empires.   Although most of the kingdoms and cultures of the world are quite seperate from each other, nearly every culture featured a rich history of prophecies... and a disturbingly common agreement between those prophecies about the end of days.   As the cultures of the world hurtled ever forward toward the realization of their respective prophecies, tensions rose between believers of the different prophecies. Eventually tensions rose to the point that the various factions started taking things upon themselves, putting a range of different 'solutions' in place that ranged from blatant profiteering, to war, to the outright insane.   Our focus is on one specific empire, an empire with one specific goal, the survival of and empowerment of humanity, the 'Empire of Man'.
