Fifth Speech

A secret language used by the Representatives of the Pentide and their closest advisors. Fifth Speech is partly used to allow the elites and leaders of Shindus to make plans secretly without having to worry about being overheard and undermined. The other main reason that it is used symbolically in to pay honors to the Pentide and their will. Fifth Speech is supposedly the language spoken by the five gods of the Pentide and is what they use to communicate with the representatives when they send them visions regarding their will. From the moment that a representative receives their inaugural vision, they are capable of understanding and speaking Fifth Speech instinctively, and they are notably the only people who are able to fully speak the language. The representatives are able to teach others the language to a functional capacity, but it is notably more difficult than nearly any other known language to learn, which is why representatives limit the people they teach to such a small circle.   And because of this small circle in which it's used, many of its linguistic properties are not well known. Those that hear it spoken can easily tell that its phonology is distinctly very different from Shindusa, the majority language of Shindus, but they can rarely put specific terms to what makes it different. In fact, those that are not exposed to it for long periods of time can rarely even recall details about what they heard. It seems like the language itself resists being understood by mortals. Fifth Speech also has its own alphabet, which the most common form that it is used in because of that resistance to being understood aurally. The script can be read and understood by a much wider range of people, including almost all major figures in the major organizations, but it is also just used as a common cypher to encode important messages within the organizations.
