The Allseer

The Allseer, known by no other name, was a Knight of the Inferno up until his murder at the hands of Valtar Illistyn in 575. The Allseer was driven completely mad by Blackrazor, acting as an advisor to the new wielder Jako Blackwater rather than wielding the power himself.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

The Allseer had seemingly never fully recovered from his starvation in the Underdark. Blind and starving in damp caverns for what must've been weeks coupled with his eventual rescue into a desolate and burning wasteland has been detrimental to his health. The Allseer was sickly pale and emaciated up until his death.

Special abilities

The Allseer carried the weight of Blackrazor's secrets within his own mind, much to his own insanity but to the King's benefit. With this knowledge, the Allseer could act as an advisor to the wielder, able to guide them in combat using the knowledge of past wielders. The Allseer was also given blindsight due to his pact with Blackrazor, able to perceive his surroundings despite being blind. Additionally, like all the Knights of the Inferno, the Allseer had his own pact with Blackrazor, giving him useful magical abilities.

Personal history

Exceptionally little is known about the Allseer's origin. The Inferno's first memory of him would be when Jako Blackwater found him blind, lost, and starving in the Underdark under the Wastelands of Reagarr in 547, at which point Jako Blackwater rescued him and took him to the surface. The Allseer revealed that he had ventured into the Underdark in search of an ancient and powerful artifact known as Blackrazor. The Allseer proved to be too greedy in knowing the secrets of Blackrazor, and was driven mad by the blade once he came across it. The Allseer's mind was destroyed, but Jako saw the opportunity to take a powerful weapon for himself.
Against the Allseer's warnings, Jako Blackwater returned to the Underdark in search of the sentient blade, eventually acquiring it without being victim to the insanity that had ruined the Allseer. Jako Blackwater wished to wield Blackrazor solely for power in the wastes, rather than the Allseer's wish to gain all of its secrets and knowledge. Jako Blackwater decided to keep the Allseer and appoint him as a Knight of the Inferno for his spiritual knowledge and connection to Blackrazor.

Mental Trauma

The Allseer's mind and sanity were absolutely destroyed by peering into Blackrazor's secrets. In learning knowledge of Blackrazor's history, its past wielders, and its magic, the Allseer had completely driven himself completely insane.
