The Great Blackout

Jinx shuts down Castellan Enterprises' Valland City grid, also shutting down the city's main power grid, igniting a chain reaction in which the entirety of Valland loses power. In the following minutes, monsters of an unnatural middle ground between demons and flame elementals begin to form along power lines, ravaging the city with violence and flame.   In a country-wide battle, Valland was finally able to restore power and vanquish the monsters after 32 minutes. There were a reported 1,871 casualties, and over 7,000 were injured. The incident cost the Vallandian government over 500 billion gold pieces in damage.
