The fall of the human empire.
the beat-by-beat ending of the human empire. at some point there was an inflection point where the dying turned into ghosts which began killing, and there was a positive feedback loop. all the living humans today are descended from those that managed to flee before that. OOOH! The ossiarchs are ONLY after human bones. Which means that the doom the orcses face is only because they're harboring humans!? i like that. though ossiarchs will still destroy/kill others - they're just looking for human bones. and they suggest even a bone tax from outside the walls. some ossiarchs grow a tongue and only they are able to speak. they're the negotiators who demand taxes.
write the death knight oath. something about giving their life in place of his.
i think the ostearchs marched from the crypts and became his army. that was freaky in itself. they stood in defense of the city.
