elves venerate two concepts. some seek balance, others suggest that at times, one or the other extreme is needed in order to bring balance. Change and Protection. could rename those a big. change includes creation, destruction, and death. protection includes tradition, knowledge, and not-changing. very welcoming to non-elves.
