The Exoduse

For thousands of years the God Empress let Her children do as they wish on the earth She had made for them and in this time the world was wild and chaotic. Humanoids lived as beasts on in the Old World; fighting, starving, freezing. Many died and all struggled at the whim of Nature. The God Empress watched from afar as Her beloved creations stagnated and suffered; all at the whim of the False Gods of nature. Soon it became to much for Her to bear and She took action against these evil beings who tormented and harmed Her children. The God Empress gathered the wandering peoples under Her wing and pushed back against the curtly of Nature. She fought the false gods and forced them to loss their grip on the humanoid races. It was then that She lead her children to the Smoking Haven where culture and industry flourished. She pushed back the incursions of from across the sea and guided and tough Her creations in a better way of life. The God Empress has rule since from Her seat in Ardmont, overseeing a golden age of magic and technology. The islands are safe and Her brood has the God Empress and Her divine children to thank for this security. The Old World is now a place of wild beasts and little else.
