Golden Bough

The Golden Bough Society is a crime syndicate that runs a "protection" extortion racket on Ceres. The group frequently declares itself as a faction of the OPA; however, many competing factions within The Outer Planets Alliance do not concur that this is a legitimate branch but rather a criminal group of thugs. Nevertheless, their ability to strongarm out smaller factions makes them a force to be reckoned with in the OPA. Recently they've taken to assassinating the Earther and Martian governors of different Belter stations, causing them to be officially condemned by Fred Johnson's faction of the OPA. Golden Bough wears its outlaw status within a fairly outlaw organization as a badge of honor.
