Quantum Communications Network
Quantum mechanics allows for messages to be sent between two points without only a limited possibility of eavesdropping, making it perfect for secure communications. Researchers developed the quantum communications network in 2029 and have since expanded and improved the network.
As humans expanded out into the solar system, the Quantum Network was expanded along with them. The network provided instant communication between all human colonies, making it easier for everyone to stay connected. Additionally, the Network was used to send and receive scientific data, which helped us learn more about our universe and the planets that we colonised.
How the Quantum Network works
The Quantum Network uses a process called quantum entanglement to send messages. This means that two particles are linked together, and whatever happens to one particle also happens to the other. This allows for information to be sent instantaneously between two points, no matter how far apart they are. Because of the way the Quantum Network works, it is almost impossible for anyone to eavesdrop on a conversation or intercept a message. This makes it the perfect way to send secure messages. In 2254, the Quantum Network is used for both telecommunication and broadcast media. It is how we are able to instantly communicate with each other, no matter where we are in the solar system. Additionally, the Quantum Network is used to send and receive data for broadcast media. This allows us to instantly watch events that are happening on other planets, as well as share our own experiences with others.Receivers & Interfaces
There are several types of receivers and interfaces for the Quantum Broadcast Network comprising both audio and visual receivers and displays. Visual communication is available in two different methods, including Holographic Projection Display, which allows for the projection of a three-dimensional image of the person you are communicating with, and two-dimensional Standard Display Screens. There are also several types of audio receivers, including standard speakers, earpieces, implants, and sub-vocalisation receivers.Types of Popular Media Broadcast on the Network
There are many different types of media that are broadcast on the Quantum Communications Network. Some popular examples include:- News: News from all over the solar system is broadcast on the Quantum Network. This includes everything from politics to weather.
- Sports: People can watch sporting events that are happening on other planets. This includes both human and alien sports.
- Entertainment: There is a wide variety of entertainment available on the Quantum Network. This includes movies, TV shows, music, and more.
- Educational: The Quantum Network is also used to broadcast educational content. This includes lectures, documentaries, and other educational programming.
