Harmelk
Harmelk is a living legend. He is a member of the Vvakol Council not because of the power he was born with, but because of his abilities.
Raised by his elderly grandparents in a fairly big town (exactly which one is disputed, but it is in the __ region), Harmelk was a calm and reserved human child. He became more adventurous after falling into a pit that landed him in the Feywild for a brief while, from where he emerged somewhat changed in both attitude and appearance. It was, however, confirmed that though he looked as if he had aged several years, and he was more prone to going out beyond the town walls, Harmelk was still Harmelk and not a changeling. He had simply become feytouched, altered by what was years for him, and days for everyone else. He was viewed with great suspicion by many still, though he was able to escape interrogation by the Shape Chasers. He would become a studious lad, turning to scholars to learn about magic. He showed great aptitude for it, soon being able to take the tests that allowed him to become a full-fledged wizard and state mage .
For years he furthered his studies, preferring to bring a knapsack full of tomes into the woods where he would read them, make notes, and do his own research in a lab he set up in a cave. He lived peacefully for quite a while that way, until the dragon Mossum turned out to have been hiding as Vvakol Council member Niaklesh. The dragon had infiltrated to gain power, take over the council and the whole of the Somer Plate. However, with Harmelk's power, their plans were able to be thwarted, and the dragon was sealed away. Harmelk was granted his position on the Vvakol Council, taking Niakleshs place. He still mostly just studies when he isn't performing his duties.
Harmelk has never spoken about what happened to him in the Feywild, but the truth is that he feels like he is unable to. He did, after all, eat something there, which should have kept him trapped in that other land forever. However, he was able to leave because of what he ate. It was a fae, which the other fae had intended to send back to the Somer Plate in Harmelk's place. They were placed in a chamber together, where the fae was meant to take Harmelk's shape and consume his essence. Instead, Harmelk was the one to consume the fae. Only a few of the other fae knows this, while the rest think that Harmelk is the fae child, and not the human child.
