Chapter 4: A deadly bargain

Deep cold laugh emanates from the corpse. “This soul is mine, you cannot have him back.” A figure appears before you, incorporeal, little more than a shadow in the shape of a man. “But if you want to speak with someone, you may speak to me.” The shadow forms into the shape of an Ilithid, a mind flayer. The litch you faced on the isles. “You, my little shadows, are becoming somewhat of a nuisance.” His incorporeal form fades and flickers like black flame. “Let us talk.”
“You have dogged my every step since I took the Goliath’s, my own fault of course, I had no clue they had such, a relentless protector.” He looks at you Magni. “But how fortunate I did, otherwise I’d have never seen the true power of my master. The flaming one I threw in the pit, a goddess now, or at least that’s what everyone believes.” (Laugh.)
“tell me, where is she now?”
“You don’t know? Pity.”
(If no one else asks an NPC asks what he wants)
“I want! What she got!” “Godhood! It’s my right! I am the most intelligent, perfect, wise being in existence! I deserve to be a god!”
“My master will make it so… eventually.” He says with a sneer. (Insight check)
He is displeased with something, about his master maybe? He seems inpatient. 
(Open to a deal, will double cross of course)
“But for now, I’ll do with him.”
The shadow swirls and points to Magni.
“You may have saved the others, but just one of the bloodline will do. And I sense the purest blood in you.”
"Present yourself to me. turn yourself over, and all of this will be over." 
"Have you forgotten about your father so quickly?" He seems to pull another shadow into exestence. A large Goliath apears before you, bound. You hear the voice of your father.  "Don't come Magni, what he has planned for you is worse than anything that he--" The shadow disappears.
"That's enough of that. What do you say Magni, come help, dear old dad?"
"Turn yourself over to my lieutenant tonight, or your father will lose more than his hand."  
"What say you?" 
"Leave the Hunters guild at midnight and enter the city of the dead, alone, and my lieutenant will find you there."
