Storref

The current chief of Stige Pass and father of Magni. Storref and Tristan were once best friends, but hatred has grown in Tristan towards Storref over Storref's accomplishments and Tristan's failures beginning with Storref's marriage to Ikkena.  He had only one regret in life; when Magni was still a baby, the village was hit by a snow storm that seemed to bring with it a strange illness. The whole village was running out of firewood, so he and a brave few who did not catch the illness decided to go out into the nearby forest and chop as much firewood as they possibly could. They worked fast and hard day and night, and by the time they stocked every home with enough firewood, they had chopped down nearly the whole forest. At first his father was proud of what they had accomplished, but when Forrik’s father, Tristan saw the place where the forest once stood, he dropped to his knees and became inconsolable. After speaking with some of the older villagers, his father learned that the forest was a special place for Tristan and his mother. His father would say that over the course of their years together, he felt like Tristan had been drifting away from him for some reason, but after that moment, his friend stopped speaking to him all together. Since then, he felt regret for what he had done and wished that he could do something to make it up to him.
