Half-Elf

Basic Information

Anatomy

Half-Elves combine traits from both sides of their heritage, generally having the builds of humans while having elvish features. Half-Elves are generally much more muscular than elves, and have facial hair elves lack. They have pointed ears and are much taller when compared to humans. They're just human enough to be seen as human by elves, but just elvish enough to be considered an elf by humans.

Growth Rate & Stages

Half-Elves age and mature at the speed of humans, but have a shortened Elvish lifespan. They become adults at age 20 and can live up to 200 years.

Ecology and Habitats

Half-Elves are suited to living in both dense forests and populous cities, though neither location feels fully like home to them. No matter the location, Half-Elves always feel slight alienation, as if their split heritage pulls them away from any place they could call home.

Additional Information

Average Intelligence

Combining the generational wisdom of Elves and the ingenuity of Humans creates a forward thinking mindset that Half-Elves commonly fall into. While not all Half-Elves are geniuses, almost all of them are good at thinking ahead and applying relevant knowledge to their current situation.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

Half Elves take more from their elven side when it comes to their senses. They have extraordinarily precise hearing and sight. Like elves they can see in the dark, however their darkvision is a lot less potent than the elves.

Major Language Groups and Dialects

Common and Elvish are the two most common languages Half-Elves know, though they are just as common to speak both.
