Free Ports

Free ports are space stations or planetary sectors that are under their own legal system rather than the government of the system they are located in. This situation usually develops in systems that are not wealthy enough to draw interstellar traders without the lack of restrictions and regulations that these free ports provide. They are often referred to as organized lawlessness.
