Sabok

The Sabok are a reptilian humanoid species from the Sabokarr system. Their skin is covered in scutum, not unlike crocodiles, providing them some degree of natural armor. they average between 4' and 4'9" (1.2 m - 1.5 m), and are usually quite broad. some rare specimens can reach 5' in height.
Originating on the planet Feyome. a wet world covered predominantly in marshes.
Ashinoe is the ruler. (god-queen)
much knowledge is passed on from parent to egg, leading to childhood being more of a wait to physical maturity rather than a time of learning (maturity is reached in about a year, longer if food is scarce). which is useful considering the short lifespan of the Sabok (30 years at it's longest, usually about 20, not counting violent ends, which is often the norm.

Social status is influenced by the number of offspring an individual has.  The death of offspring would reduce an individuals standing by some degree.

It appears that all Sabok speak the same language.
An interesting word in the Sabokan language is the word "Feinna" which seems to best translate as "food", "enemy", and "stranger".

Common Dress Code

When first encountered their dress was a loincloth and sling-bags, and sheaths for weaponry.

History

When first discovered they exhibited a primitive society with some degree of iron age technology.
