Session 21 - The Grove of the Scythe Tree

General Summary

Departed from The Dryad, the heroes explored south until they found a blighted hollow full. Despite attempts to be cautious, the tree was in its element and managed to ambush the heroes. A bloody battle began as the tree spoke mockingly and would leave recipients near death's door from a single strike. Thankfully under the combined assault the tree fell, ridding the hollow of the blighted creature. A search around the grove revealed some treasure in the form of a magical scarf wrapped around orbs of amber. Nothing else stood out and the heroes left, returning to the grove.
Returning back to the dryad, she introduced herself as Tiressia and returned with the news that the tree was felled. In return, she rewarded them in the form of a set of tokens that would grow into a tree when planted. Additionally she would keep an eye out regarding this section of forest if it were claimed yet ignored. Before they left, however, she offered a special form of hospitality that only Beatrice LaRue and Faenulos Canathrimel took up.
Returning to Melianse's grove, they planted the new trees which delighted her. True to her word, she released the lumberjacks from her control. Additionally, she offered to teach curious members that ritual should they so desire.
Yet, with time running short and the need for governmental duties approaching they returned back to Clemency within the first few days of Erastus starting and settled in for government duties.
