Leadership & Rulership
Whilst in a position of rulership in any kingdom, a character gains the leadership feat for free from 6th level. There are some changes to the feat whilst it is in effect during rulership (other than changing the pre-requisites to 6th level not 7th level). In addition, if a character stops being in a position of rulership they lose the benefits of this feat (but may take the normal leadership if the meet all the normal pre-requisites)
- Your leadership score is your level + Cha + rulership modifier + other modifier
- Always have Great Reknown +3 to leadership score
- Always 'have a strong base' modifier to attracting followers (+2 leadership for followers).
- Cohorts cannot be higher level than your level -2 (i.e. start at 4th level) and followers no more than your level - 3 (so start no higher than 3rd level)
- As per the standard rules, cohorts level with you, unless they also adventure separately, then they will need to gain experience themselves. This will work on a per month basis. If at any time in a month they adventure then they only gain XP from that adventuring. If they stay at home the whole time they will gain an amount of XP that would keep them -2 levels below you. Cohorts can never be higher level than your level -2
- Followers they must meet a theme, generally taken from the teams as written in the downtime rules
- Follow all the other leadership rules as written in the standard SRD (if something doesn't make sense compared to what I have written let me know and I can adjust as needed)
