The Seven-Legged Queen

In traditional Spider fashion, Drocinda named herself. (a.k.a. Drocinda is known as the Seven-Legged Queen, although no creature living has said the nickname in her presence. Secretly, though, she likes the name.)

"The Seven-Legged Queen" is the nickname of the Spider Lord Drocinda. Drocinda reigns over lesser Spiders, each of whom controls a city or organization, typically from behind the scenes. She manages her underlings from a modern castle built in a massive forest situated in the approximate center of her territory. The only rival she ever had took her leg in a confrontation, but she has eaten that rival.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Drocinda is a healty adult Black Crimson webweaving Spider. She is strong and agile, but less so than she once was due to overeating.

Body Features

Drocinda's carapace is mostly black, with glowing red false eyes on her abdomen. Her armor is glossier than most spiders of her kind, possibly due to her exotic diet. The most unusual aspect of her appearance is her seven long legs, or more accurately, the lack of an eighth long leg; her second right leg was torn out at the joint in combat with a rival, but has healed over.

Apparel & Accessories

Drocinda does not wear clothing, other than a utility belt. The belt holds a pair of personal shield generators (only one of which can be used at any given time), her communications devices, a quadcorder, and little else. On the rare occasions she leaves her castle, she wears exquisite silk armor created by a long-dead Silversilk Spider.

Drocinda is determined not to mate or lay eggs, fearing that one of her offspring would usurp or consume her.

Morality & Philosophy

Drocinda is ruthless and self-centered, even by Spider standards. She firmly believes that every thing and every being belong to whoever is able to take and control it, and that the weak exist to literally feed the strong.

Circumstances of Birth

Like most Spiders, Drocinda was born with hundreds of siblings in a web packed with immobilized prey for the newborns. The web still had prey confined for the Spiderlings when Drocinda began to eat her siblings, and she ate them all.
