Wolf's Holler is a Canizen settlement in deep forested mountain territory. Most people who enter the area are hunted mercilessly by the fauna, but the Canizens have been able to partly domesticate the native giant wolves and live together peacefully.

Demographics

Nearly all of Wolf's Holler's population is made up of Canizens. A few other species have called Wolf Holler home over the years, but they are rare. The Canizens of Wolf Holler are private and protective of their home.

Government

Wolf's Holler is run by a council of "den mothers", which is then lead by a single matriarch of the community. Most issues are put to a vote among the council, but the matriarch has final say.

Defences

The Canizen of Wolf's Holler are excellent trappers, and the forest surrounding their community is fraught with the peril of traps.

A palisade of scrap metal and sharpened logs surrounds Wolf's Holler. A variety of ancient automobiles have been brought to the back of the palisade to offer additional support.

Guard "towers" have been built into many trees around the settlement and are often manned by hunters. The tree-stands are used to both spot animals for hunting, but also to keep an eye on the area and ensure no threats make it to the palisades before the community is alerted.

Industry & Trade

A few Canizen traders make the long trek to other settlements to trade pelts and herbs for medicine and tools.

Infrastructure

The Canizens of Wolf's Holler live very simple lives. The settlement is built out of the remnants of an ancient town, but everything the Canizens need can be hunted or gathered. Some Canizens have begun building small gardens, but no large-scale farming is done.

Architecture

The buildings of Wolf's Holler are built from the ruins of an ancient neighborhood. Mostly only foundations and basements remain, but a few brick buildings were still standing when the Canizens settled here. The ruins have been built up with scrap metal, wooden logs, and large animal pelts.

Geography

Wolf's Holler is deep within the heavily forested area far north of Torch Town. A raging river runs through the area, as well as multiple streams. A few ponds are found in the area. West of the forest are large swamplands.

Natural Resources

The forest of the surrounding area is ripe with flora and fauna. Many rare herbs can be found around Wolf's Holler.
