Espirian

Names

In recent decades, some families have elected to shorten some names by removing the -a or -o suffix. In some cases, this could be an attempt to better acclimate to Akregian culture, though this is purely speculation on the part of imperial scholars and is nearly impossible to confirm or disprove.

The espirian language is primarily spoken in the Espirian states on the western coast (formerly the kingdom of Espiria), and by gent families that have emigrated from that area. It is not uncommon for entire neighborhoods to be populated only by gent, and for those communities to use espirian as their primary language.
