Kingdom of Ogria

Along the eastern coast of northern vecrona, the Kingdom of Ogria stands as a monument of the giants' legacy. After the giants were overthrown, the ogrians established a kingdom in the ruins of their largest cities. While the giants of the eastern shores were not as massive as their Jotun cousins, their cities are stil massive enough to house thousands of men and women.

Structure

Ogria is a protectorate of the Akregian Empire, and as such has a certain amount of governing autonomy. Each province is governed by a khan who has ultimate authority within their lands, though the imperial council can still make decrees that affect Ogria as a whole.

Demography and Population

Like most regions in vecrona, Ogria is made up of nearly entirely human settlements, though the occasional dwarven community is not uncommon in the foothills of the Dragon Peaks. Though the population of Ogria as a whole is relatively low, it is highly centralized in urban areas, meaning that even the smallest villages would be considered a city by akregian standards.

Territories

Ogria occupies the narrow stretch of hill country east of the Dragon Peaks, It is bordered on the northeast by the ocean, and on the south by the Fennlands (The Akregian Empire considers the fennlands to be a part of the Ogrian Protectorate, though both Ogria and the Fennlanders contest this).

Foreign Relations

Almost since the Giants were overthrown, Ogria and the Fennlands have been engaged in a deep rivalry, despite a very strong trade relation between the two nations. They are a protectorate under the Akregian Empire, though that does not preclude a certain amount of animosity by the ogrian people for the imperial government.
