Spear of Repose

This spear was originally a wedding gift from the then-dean of the alchemy school, as he knew Carlisle delighted in "hands-on" learning. Any creature killed with the spear will remain in a perfect state, never decaying while the spear is still impaled in the corpse. Tomph carries it with her in her travels, and any time she sees a creature that she thinks Carlisle would enjoy studying, she 'acquires' it for him.
