You react to threats instantly and instinctively.

NOVICE:You can prepare for action in an instant. Once per round on your turn you may use Ready as a free action.

EXPERT:You can go prone or stand up as a free action rather than part of a Move action.

MASTER:it is hard to get the drop on you. You may re-roll your initiative at the start of a combat encounter but must keep the result of the second roll.
