Alek

Alek was a former member of the Waterdeep City Guard who was transformed into a Werewolf.
In 1488, Alek was part of a guard squad dispatched to clear out a werewolf outside the city of Waterdeep. While in the den, Malachor, a fellow guardsmen, panicked and fled, consigning Alek and the rest to their fate.
Unbeknownst to Malachor, not all the guardsmen were killed, and some were turned into werewolves. The former guardsmen began to hate Malachor, believing that their monstrous state was the result of his cowardice.
In 1492, Alek confronted and attempted to kill Malachor, who was traveling with the Breadwinners, outside of Waterdeep. Alek was stopped, revealing his identity to his former guardsmen. A spark of his humanity returning, Alek asked Malachor to kill him, so he wouldn't live any longer as a monster. Malachor obliged.
