Billiam Staodwall

Billiam Stoadwall was a human writer that lived alone just outside of the city walls of Elturel.
After the Damnation of Elturel on the 2nd of Eleasis, 1497, Billiam joined a caravan of refugees heading towards Baldur's Gate. A few days into the journey, his mother's enlistment in the Hellriders was discovered by Vollis Foote, a cultist of Zariel looking to murder Hellriders and their offspring so that they could be reborn in Hell as devils. Vollis succeeded in killing Billiam, was discovered by the Lost Star Detectives, the caravan guards, who killed her in turn.
Though deceased, Billiam's legacy as a writer would prove useful to the Lost Star Detectives, who turned in one of his manuscripts to Candlekeep as their gift of entry.
