Elturel City Fair
The Elturel City Fair is an annual event to celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of Fall in Elturel. It's held on the 4th of Uktar every year.
Execution
The City Fair is typically split into two main attractions. The biggest attraction are the wealth of merchants and vendors from all over that travel to the city and set up in Shiarra's Market. Additionally, a wealth of games are arranged for any and all participants, which traditionally include wrestling, jousting, feats of magic, and more.
Typically saved for last is the Lady Run, which is an old city ritual that combines a relay race with wooing individuals. Contenstants are tasked with running from one point to another, where they must secure a token of affection from a participating watcher, and then race back to the starting point. Though the original version of the Lady Run was only performed by men seeking the affection of women, it has been opened up for the past few centuries to involve any and all that want to participate.
Observance
The Elturel City Fair is held every year on the 4th of Uktar in and around the Dock District.
