Githyanki Silver Sword

Githyanki silver swords are the famed weapons given the knights, leaders, and gish of the Githyanki race. They are extremely powerful and prized possessions, renowned for their abilities to damage an individual psychically as well as physically. While traditionally greatswords, silver swords can come in a variety of appearances, such as the rapier silver swords used by the gish of the githyanki military.
The silver swords are modeled after the ancient silver sword wielded by the savior of the gith race, Gith, and as symbols of their race, githyanki are fiercly protective of their swords and never willingly allow others to handle it. For wielders of silver swords, losing one in battle was considered the highest shame possible, and many githyanki who lost their swords have chosen death over living with that shame.
When a non-githyanki is discovered to have possession of a silver sword, a raiding party is dispatched by Vlaakith to retrieve the weapon by all means necessary. Should that raiding party fail, then all of its suriving members are executed.
