Ser Vich is a
half-elf monk and member of the
Harpers who was one of the first in
Northwest Faerun to recognize the threat posed by the reformed
Cult of the Dragon.
History
Born in Berdusk shortly before the city joined the new nation of
Elturgard, Ser Vich joined the Harpers at a young age, spying for the group and locating hideen threats.
In the late 1480s, Ser Vich recognized a potential reformation of the cult of the Dragon and began investigating. Harboring suspicions about
Don Rel, Ser Vich joined the faculty of
Gregory Tumbleton University, where Don Rel worked.
These suspicions would prove to be well founded, as Don Rel was the leader of the reformed cult of the Dragon, using his position to steal the
Aethercore that protected the institution. However, Ser Vich was not at the
Raid on Tumbleton, as a couple of days before he had gotten captured while investigating the cult's encampment south of
Tumbleton.
Ser Vich was then freed by the group that would form the
Breadwinners, and upon his request they set out to
Elturel to secure the aid of
Order of the Gauntlet Vindicator
Onthar Frume. Frume, recognizing the threat the cult proved, offered his aid and set off for
Waterdeep to rally the forces of the
Lords' Alliance while Ser Vich contacted the greater Harper organization.
Due to Ser Vich's role in recognizing the threat so early, he was allowed to attend sessions of the
Council of Waterdeep alongside fellow Harper
Remallia Haventree.
After the
Great Dragon War, Ser Vich again returned to a mostly nomadic lifestyle, preferring to remain in obscurity to better operate as a Harper agent.
