Teramina Roe
Duke Teramina Roe
Teramina Roe was a shrewd politician, a former Duke on Baldur's Gate's Council of Four, and mother to Casimir Roe.
Personal History
Born in 1427 in Baldur's Gate, Teramina's noble upbringing and demeaner allowed her to steadily rise through upper society. At the age of 35, in 1462, Teramina gave birth to her son Casimir Roe, who she would pamper and groom to succeed her. In 1468, Termina had secured enough political support among the Parliament of Peers to be voted into the Council of Four. While a cunning politician, she was also admired for her efficiency and unorthodox thinking, which won her many allies. Teramina was on the Council of Four during the Bhaalspawn Crisis and voted against filling the seat of Grand Duke Abdel Adrian's, who was a personal friend of hers. She also disagreed with Ulder Ravengard's refusal to give up command of the Flaming Fist when he joined the Council of Four. In early 1479, Teramina suffered a tragic accident while walking through the streets, when a loose cart rolled down the street, striking her. Though clerics and healers were rushed to the scene immediately, she had already passed by the time they arrived. Due to a combination of the tragic nature of her passing, the many allies and friends she had made in the Parliament of Peers, and her own popularity, her son Casimir Roe was voted in to replace her.
