The Tanitverse

"All hands, all hands, prepare for hyperspace breach, prepare for hyperspace breach. It's been a decade since we lost contact with the Tanit System, so be prepared for anything."

Set in the far future, five systems colonized by Terrans recover from the horrors of the Great Stellar War. Embarking on a new era, whether the future is bright or grim hangs in the balance as billions go about their lives across the stars.

What's it all about?

Recovery! The Great Stellar War took Terran civilizations from their peak to the lowest of lows. Even centuries later, recovery is ongoing and the shadow of the war hangs over the descendants of its survivors.   Intrigue! There's no one dominant system, although Sol is close, so trade, diplomacy, shadow wars, and even brushfire conflicts are common. And then there's the whole thing with megacorps...   Exploration! Nothing was even close to 100% mapped on any world, and the use of prohibited lithospheric weapons has remade whole continents.Then there's the wrecks of fallen spacecraft and ruined cities, all filled with tech and material just waiting for the bravest to try to recover.

The Background!

For some following me here and/or with the games I write may feel like things are a bit familiar. That's not an accident. The Tanitverse is a direct result of the sudden realization that I was writing the same content over and over again in piecemeal format across a half dozen personal projects. It was all science fiction, all contained similar elements, and I found myself subconsciously reusing the same terms and groups. So I've taken the components of Coral (Wave Chasers), Nova Tero (Nova Suno), CBRNt Earth, and others to create the Tanitverse, a baseline creative reality that can be used on its own or as a jumping off point for alternate worlds/dimensions where things went different routes.
