Secret Agent Man

Background

  The year is 300 PS (Post Scouring). You are part of a team of elite holy warriors. You have been placed undercover in Roguehollow.   Luth Helder is a one of the high ranked members of the Shadowkind, runs a casino and a loan shark business, and supplies fund to several devil worshipping cults. Information has come to hand that Luth Helder owes gold to other members within the Shadowkind.   The plan is to scout out Luth's casino and rob his vault. Without his backup hoard of wealth, fellow members of the Shadowkind will turn on him putting him out of business and in turn put the devil worshippers out of business.

Character Creation

Races

All races per my Roll20 account are available. As always, check out The Races of the Second Oriana Imperium guide for what races are the most common.

Classes

For this particular adventure everyone will have 5 levels of Paladin.

Starting Level

The starting level is 5.

Roles

At the beginning of the one-shot, each character will be given a role. Each character must have a role, and each role can only be selected once. Each role has a bonus and negative, you won't find out until you get assigned a role. The roles available are:
  • The Face
  • The Mastermind
  • The Muscle
  • The Hacker/Lock Specialist
  • The Burgler
  • The Assassin
  • The New Guy
  • The Wild Card

Secret Role

Each character will also be given a Secret Role. The things you gain from the secret role override any contradictory things your character already has.

Starting Equipment

Characters start with the following equipment, awarding them to the character once it has been created at level 5: Starting equipment and gold as per the character class and background choices.
  • Any 1 Common Magic Item in Roll20
  • Any 1 Uncommon Magic Item in the Dungeon Master's Guide
  • 1,000 gp (can be used to buy weapons, armour, adventuring gear, and spellcasting components. Can be used to buy magical items listed below)
  • 1 Potion of Greater Healing
