Imperial Allamaran

Imperial Allamaran is the language of the Allamaren elite and functioned as a lingua franca in politics worldwide. Even though it is the official language in The Former Allamaran Empire, many Allamaren of lower socioeconomic background, especially the illiterate, do not speak Imperial Allamaran. Their common language is Vulgar Allamaran. Vulgar and Imperial Allamaran descent from different language families and are not mutually intelligible. Imperial Allamaran is a sister language to Rénarian. Imperial Allamaran was the official language of every part of the Empire, often alongside local languages like Ginderlands. For some years now, since the reign of Prince Karl-Philipp, it is even the only officially accepted language.
