Godtouched

All godtouched, otherwise known as the blessed, have been directly influenced by at least one of the celestial deities. Either that or they are descendants of those who were.   Godtouched are bright in appearance, they draw attention with their glowing eyes and hair, vibrantly rich colour. They are naturally beautiful and athletic, having to spare more effort to grow out of shape than to get into it. They live significantly longer than regular humans, and remarkably, have a strange ability to feel the threads of divine fate around them, the footprints of the celestials. For this reason godtouched are the most highly trusted to divine the will of the celestials, and hold many high positions within the faith.   Worshippers of the celestials are plentiful, but few receive direct attention from the subject of their devotion. And whilst clerics and paladins draw strength from their faith, that does not equate to a real blessing from the gods.   Kormir has been known to bless kings and leaders with great power and an appropriate appearance to go with it. However, the true chosen of Kormir are beings truly pure of heart, which she hand picks as her champions, marking them with celestial blood so they are recognised by the flock.   Lokar occasionally blesses his faithful. He especially rewards those who have recovered their dignity from the depths of depravity. Those who have atoned for their misdoings through worship are blessed to walk the earth with their heads held high.   The chosen of Arman are mostly common men and women displaying protective and loyal qualities. They have far subtler appearances than other godtouched. Their hair is bright and glossy and their eyes swirl with deep colours, but neither glow. They do boast a naturally athletic form and exceptional durability, along with long lives.   Godtouched descendants often boast the same physical characteristics as their forefathers, however, they aren't likely to exhibit the same good qualities that earn the favour of a celestial in the first place. They are spoiled by society and prone to self-importance and boasting.
