Charab
The children are Charab, a kind of living sensor, who wander around the station and are Wahina's eyes. Their function is to observe the growth of the vacuum organisms, but they also work as a kind live alarm. When they discover the Heroes, they first stay at a distance, emit buzzing sounds and squat down, putting their hands on the floor, again and again. A moment later, they step forward and try to touch the Heroes to get more sensor data. Their discovery will be conveyed to Wahina, who will in turn send a Najad (see scene 5) to meet them.
If they hurt the Charab or are threatening towards them, e.g. push them away roughly as they try to touch them, the Heroes will be seen as a threat and signals are sent to the nearest Kobu to deal with them (see Event: Kobu attacks).
