The Third Imperium of Mankind. Life in the Trojan Reach

Humaniti has gone to the stars and found them crowded with other forms of life and other sentient species, and science and technology have advanced vastly over the present day – but the essential nature of humaniti is unchanged. Life continues as it does now, only spread out over the sea of stars. A mighty Imperium unites thousands of worlds under a single rule but it is beset by enemies both internal and external.   The Third Imperium is the greatest interstellar empire in the history of Charted Space. The Third Imperium commands the space between the stars, ensuring that civilization endures and trade continues. Megacorporations and feudal lords conduct the bulk of this trade but there will always be a place for the free trader – hardy Travellers and adventurers on the fringes of Charted Space, dealing in strange goods and smuggled cargoes, doing whatever they can to make a Credit.   The year is 1106 3I. The Third imperium has ruled humaniti for over a century now. The Third imperium during this time regained control of the main star systems that was divided during what was called the Long Knife period with fall of the Second Imperium. The Third imperium than began to continue into the Territory's known as Behind the Claw. These Territory's included the sectors of Denab, Spinward Marches, and the Trojan Reach. This area was considered the frontier or the wild wild west of the Second Imperium. The Second Imperium started the expansion into these territory's to stop the influence of the Solomani influence in the territory. During this same period The Aslan also expanded its control in the Trojan Reach while the Zhodani also expanded its territory of charted space with four wars known as the the Frontier wars with the Third Imperium into the Spinward Marches trying to stop the expansion of the Third Imperium. The Zhodani also expanded its Territory in to the Trojan Reach. The Third Imperium expansion to the coreward was curtailed by the Vargr extents.   As the Third Imperium, Aslan, and Zhodani try to expand there power into the territory's known as Behind the Claw Humaniti and alien strive to survive on the systems they were born in. Some controlled by each of the three powers. Some systems fight for their independence of the three powers. While other systems want the protection of Third Imperium or somebody from what they fear is the biggest threat the Aslan Hierate. Mega corporations look to expand there pocket books in these unknown systems without union protection to protect the workers or worse slavery. Even though the Imperial Navy and Aslan have thwarted most of pirates in the area they are still a threat with an unknown base of operation. As the citizens deal with the good, the bad, and the ugly of their lives they carry on. These are their stories.
