The people afflicted with Arcane Delirium have an intense and harmful connection to magic. They can feel magic, see it, and smell it, and hear it. Touch it, even. It overshadows everything else, and you can't see the world straight any longer.
Fairy villages don't usually take up a lot of space, seeing as fairy folk are quite tiny. They're often built in forests, on small clearings, or up a handful of tree trunks, or mushroom clusters, or even among the petals of particularly big flowers.
A Fey can't simply show their appreciation, or their contempt, they need a more permanent way to do so, one that also plays into their vanity and need to boast - a token.

The Night Magic is Woven is a timeless tradition in the Feywild. But this time, the Thread, its central player, did not show up, and become of that time and magic are unraveling. Even Stories are broken, and the apparent culprit is still at large.
The Wandering Shadows are comprised of people who left society - mostly because they were forced to, or were kicked out of the Courts - and now seek revenge through rather violent means.
