Dedicating the rest of his existence to removing the looming darkness that encroaches across all realms, Somnus remotely scours other worlds finding any information that can help him. In this journey, he activates and animates several magical tomes to possess and explore the worlds he finds. Although sentience within the resulting vessels are not intended, it has become somewhat... necessary in finding what he seeks.

A wise and powerful wizard that did his most to prevent the encroaching darkness within his world but was proven futile. In his last attempts, he petrified his entire realm to stave off the destruction of all life.
