Chorus Stone
Discovered on the Spectral Plateau in 54 CF, the Chorus Stone is a mysterious crystal within which an unidentified prior world object appears to be entombed. The crystal stands 12 feet tall and resonates in tune with the ebb and flow of chromatic waves across the plateau. The stone itself shifts in colour, from pink through to purple and blue and back again. Its true purpose and nature are a mystery, and the artifact within it has proven impossible to properly examine. The stone was considered to be an interesting curiosity for most of its life, clearly in tune with the larger surrounding landscape but likely benign and harmless.
That changed in 109CF, Eschel Eremiah became convinced that the Stone was part of an immense being and that it was trying to communicate some great and ineffable wisdom. He founded the Chorus of the Stones, a quasi-religious group that regularly communes at the stone. He had a small residence constructed near the stone, believing that by continuing to remain in its vicinity, he would better be able to attune himself to message. He mysteriously vanished during a commune in 124CF, and the remaining members of the Chorus believe that he must have somehow ascended.
A stone carving of a man, legs crossed and face raised towards the heavens was created by his followers to remember him by. It has been placed several metres away facing outwards from the stone, such that all who come to visit must walk past it. The faithful can often be seen placing small offerings in a bowl before it (typically stones that have been affected by the energies of the Spectral Plateau in some interesting way).
