Mesa Herbal Apothecary
Situated in the south-eastern corner of The Tilled Mesa, the Mesa Herbal Apothecary takes full advantage of the fertile lands to cultivate and produce a variety of medicinal herbs. These herbs are tended to by Zin Akatoa, who for more than forty years has attended to the preparation of a variety of medicinal poultices and treatments. His preparations often also utilizing the Spectral Plateau by leaving ingredients in the spectral waves for a time in order to alter their properties.
The apothecary was originally founded by Hagin Vashbut was left abandoned for just over fifty years after his demise. Zin was able to study many of the notes he left behind in order to revive his lost knowledge. He continues to study the notes left behind and to develop new recipes and techniques. Mindful of how the apothecary originally ceased to function, he has also recently taken on an Temila Ekens as an apprentice. She has proven to be a quick study, enabling Zin to transfer some of his responsibilities to her and to focus more of his efforts on research.
The condition of Glowfetchers Dreaming has recently become a subject of focus for Zin. Thus far it has eluded any kind of cure, but Zin hopes that he might be the one to remedy this. This has brought him some unfavourable attention from the Chorus of the Stones, who regard the dreaming not as an affliction, but as a gift.
