Coulson's Team
A special operations team of S.H.I.E.L.D, headed up by Phil Coulson.
The team was originally created in order to monitor Phil Coulson following his ressurection by Project T.A.H.I.T.I. However, as all memory of his ressurection was wiped from Coulson's mind in order to protect his mental health, he was told the team was a special taskforce assigned to investigate metahuman activity.
Prior to the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D, the taskforce reported directly to Nick Fury. After S.H.I.E.L.D. was dissolved by the United States government, the team continued to opperate unofficially, eventually forming the core of the rebuilt S.H.I.E.L.D.
One of the original members of the team, Grant Ward, was revealled to be a senior HYDRA opperative.
