Johanesberg
Johannesburg is the most populous city in South Africa, and one of the 100 largest urban areas in the world. It was established in 1886, following the discovery of gold on a farm. Due to the large gold deposits uncovered, the population grew to over 100,000 within a decade.
It was one of the host cities of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and hosted the final.
