PRIDE

PRIDE (Promoting Resilience, Independence, Dedication & Excellence) is a Los Angeles based charitable organization, whose members are some of the most rich and prominent families in Los Angeles.

Their focus is community projects such as after-school programs, community centres, and food banks.

They have a close relationship with the LA-based new religious movement, the Church of Gibborim, with whom they jointly run a shelter for homeless teenagers. There have been calls in recent years for PRIDE to cut ties with the Church, who have been accused of being a cult by several former members, but thus far PRIDE has not acknoledged these concerns.
