Joy Peddler

In a city like Teimor, the capital city-state of the Citadel Coalition, poverty and wealth levels all across the board are prevalent. From the poor urchins of the Cracks to the middle class merchants, farmers, and craftsmen all the way to the upper class of ruling Guild elites, all can be seen walking the streets of the capital. Though there is a wealth divide and not everyone prospers, not all face adversity alone. Plenty of individuals and organizations donate or aid the poor in some way. None, however, are as well known as the joy peddlers.   There is a group within the ranks of the Krashit Artisanry guild that has taken it upon themselves to bring smiles to the forlorn faces of children facing adversity in the streets of Teimor. Called joy peddlers by some, toy mongers by others more cynical, these good-natured folk drive the standard floatstone cart through the streets of suffering neighborhoods and slums when possible, doling out toys, dolls, and playthings as they pass by. Some who call them toy mongers claim the joy peddlers are simply recruiters sowing seeds among the downtrodden to encourage them to join the Guild when of age. Though this may not be too far removed from the truth, the intent to provide some measure of good for the poor is still there.    Make no mistake, the Krashit Artisanry does more than just hand out toys to children who are starving. The joy peddlers just so happen to be one of the more iconic subgroups within the Guild who have taken it upon themselves to sow a little happiness.

Propulsion

Joy peddler carts are often pulled by horses or thrips. The carts themselves will stay afloat off the ground a few feet because of the floatstone affixed beneath. Though tight turns can be somewhat difficult to pull off at high speeds (which are hardly likely), the inability to get stuck or break a wheel is a much appreciated benefit by joy peddlers and wagon drivers alike.
