The Tall Pine Radio Station

Purpose / Function

What was originally the local radio station for the town of Maple River has now become Harvey Bell's house.
Harvey repurposed a majority of the building into a living quarters while keeping the recording and broadcasting hardware intact.
Every night at midnight Harvey Bell broadcasts his talk show out of the building til five am.

Alterations

Harvey has added a small kitchen onto the back of the building and has upgraded the radio antenna over time. He claims that the repairs he has done to the building will allow him to talk to extra-dimensional beings, as of today he still has no proof to back up that claim.

Architecture

Originally built in the late 1930s the building resembles that of a log cabin, the those were gathered from the tall pines that surround the town. The two features that really made this building standout would be the large red and white radio tower that juts out above the tall pines and a small bill board with a mural of Maple River at the entrance of the driveway that leads to the building.
In modern times the landscape around the building has slowly taken over, the radio tower has lost most of it's color and now looks like a piece of modern art with all the additions Harvey Bell has made to it. The mural in front of the drive has also become faded and tagged by the youth of the town.

History

Originally built in 1938 the Tall Pine Radio Station has had a cultural impact on the town since the very beginning.
Starting out the radio station would put on fictional audio plays and relay the news to the inhabitants of Maple River. When World War 2 broke out they began reporting on the war and became more news heavy.
With the end of the second world war The Tall Pine Radio station once again changed as the world around it changed. They began to conduct interviews and became a mixture of news, music and audio plays.
