Ned Shakeshack

Captain Ned Shakeshack (a.k.a. Nedrick)

Ned was found tied up on the second floor of the Haunted Mansion. He is a scruffy human of average build, tatooed in several places. He is originally from Seaton, and stopped to rob the Haunted Mansion on his way to Saltmarsh. He claims that he was assaulted and tied up and left to be sold into slavery, although this account is contradicted by the surviving smugglers from the cellar caves.  He claimed to have proficiency in Water Vehicles.
The Monster Crew thought that Ned was actin' pretty Sus and thus wanted to keep an eye on him, and what better way to keep an eye on him than to put him on the crew.  As Captain no less.
Ned seemed to think that having a role on your crew is a massive step up for him. He is somewhat confused by being the Captain even though nobody listens to him.  His bumbling ineptitude continued pretty much uninhibited until the Monster Squad returned to Saltmarsh during Danger at Dunwater.  The evening after the ship returned to port, before they could meet with the Council to discuss the true motives of the Lizardfolk, Wind caught Ned sneaking off to meet Skerrin Wavechaser at Crabber's Cove, although he did not overhear their conversation.
Ned fled the ship and fell overboard during the attack on the Lavinia's Folly several days later during the Night of Blood and Water .  His body was not found, but he is presumed dead - killed by the bloodthirsty Sahuagin.
