Orvex Ocrammas
Orvex Ocrammas is a Turmishite scribe and translator and companion of the Monster Squad. He has now made residence in Saltmarsh where he runs a Scrivner shop.

Personal history
Orvex was born in Alaghon, a port city on the Sea of Fallen Stars and the capital of Turmish. During the Spellplague, the Sea of Fallen Stars drained significantly below its normal level (apparently they later learned a large passage to the underdark became accessible below water level and it flooded into those subterranean caves). This cut Alaghon off from its primary trade as the port was now miles from water. As such times were pretty hard there and he left when he was young to seek is fortune on the sword coast. He spent a lot of time in Amn, initially, working as a scrivener and then at a library. He became somewhat disillusioned with trying to constantly raise his station in life and wanted to do something where he could really lean into his love of learning. He travelled north to Candlekeep and through a stroke of luck was admitted to the great library to live as a junior scribe among the Avowed. He lived there for several years, mainly transcribing text for seekers and learning the art of book binding. He claims that he eventually left the Avowed as his desire for wealth found him once more, and left Candlekeep. He has spent the last several years acting as a translator and researcher for adventurers planning excursions to lost tombs and cities, working for anyone so long as they had the coin. In early 1492 he was hired by the Red Wizards and travelled with them to Omu. He was left for dead after the wizards were ambushed by a Yuan-Ti strike force, but was rescued by the Monster Squad.
After entering the The Tomb of the Nine Gods, he agreed to stay behind in a control room temporarily to assist the Monster Squad in reaching the lower level of the dungeon. He was there captured and killed by Withers, but not before Orvex was able to disable a final trap, allowing Queeg to charge forward and knock Withers into a Planar Vortex and destroying him utterly.
Orvex was brought back to life by Hiatea on behalf of Seftali. He then travelled back to Saltmarsh and set up shop as a Scrivner.
