The Monster Squad arrives in Almraiven, in 1989, on stage at the end of a lecture at the 3rd annual Almraiven Arcana Symposium. Shortly thereafter they are attacked by a band of Fire Genasi who are looking for a woman named Thuraiya who should be lecturing there. They meet Captain Azim.
