Piranha Tree

An indigenous plant species of Sisyphus Beta that looks like just about any tree, at first glance.

Around each specimen of the tree grows what looks like a large fern, but it’s really part of the tree. When a human, or any other animal, pass by and rustle the fern-like part the tree knows that there’s prey below and long vines with tiny razor sharp teeth comes down from the branches and picks the animal clean, until there’s just a skeleton, in a matter of seconds.
