Armour of the First Men

The Armour of the First Men is a legendary suit of armour that has lasted down the millennia from the time of Pangaea. Rarely seen and only the one is now thought to now exist.   Given the time and what little remains of the First Men it is strange to see anyone with the Armour any more. It is generally found hidden away in forgotten places awaiting discovery. Like other aspects of the First Men it is twisted in shape, style & function, like the remains of the First Men themselves. Little is known about the actual construction of the armour though it seems to be creayed in part from bone and able to regrow & repair damaged parts. That and it can never be removed from the wearer.   It seems that according to myrh, the armour style first surfaced amongst the First Men of the Northern Tribes. With little access to metals they initially grew the armour itself from their own skeletal structures within their bodies. Each oif the original suits were fed by the bodies of the users who could never remove them. Only upon death could the armour be removed and transplanted to others.   The suits are usually twisted in shape and design similar to the bodies of the First Men who wore them, and after time different suits were discovered and cannibalised to create working suits for other species. By doing so these suits grew into the wearer, forcing bone strands throughout the body linking the skeleton of the user with the suit itself.   Deep in the Underdark and other such out of the way places have a few remaining artwork of such suits of armour & the wearers. Such art ranges from crude rock art to sophisticated chiseled & coloured wall art. Most of these are found in subartic & arctic regions with a few in more temperate regions. The former generally show troops hunting and at war, usually showing them as heroes of the people, whilst the latter generally show them as bloodthirsty raiders & enemies.   A few show a humanoid creature leading them, twisted & larger tearing opponents apart in close combat or presiding over the tribe including what looks like religious rites. a standard adornment of it regularly has what looks like a deer's skull on it's head, along with a mark of two separate 3/4 blue circles joined together with a blue dot. Seen in even the temperate regions it appears that the armour itself is related to some type of cult. Whether it still exists or has tainted the Armour to this day is another thing.   What is known is that the armour hasn't been seen in decades, and only one seems to have survived with many old stories found round the Scandes Mountains. Some of the Nordic tribs,s and many of the oldest Western Sami, legends & myths speak of skeletal creatures attacking in the middle of snowstorms deep in winter. Yet none has happened in near a generation.

What a cool idea to species build/grow armor out of their own body and then reuse it for others on their death Very interesting.

Let's have fun creating the impossible, building new worlds, and all types of possibilities. Valcin

Helps with the creep factor too, lol. Imagine a Player Character finding it & trying it on...
